Customers are offered two configurations:
Basic PCB CAD containing Capture schematic editor and OrCAD PCB Editor with basic functionality, including impedance calculation, work with differential pairs taking into account static phase along the entire length, physical rules and restrictions, 3D editor, and all necessary functions of import and export for the preparation of design documentation.
Advanced CAD. In addition to the capabilities of OrCAD PCB Designer Standard, it contains features for creating match-groups and aligning high-speed signals and DDR buses, semi-auto multiplication of repeating routing fragments, dynamic control of the phase of differential pairs, and everything you need to route complex high-speed PCBs. Also included in this configuration is the SPECCTRA auto-router and signal integrity analysis software. In terms of functionality, the configuration of OrCAD PCB Designer Professional is very close to Allegro PCB Designer (without the CIS function). There is also a configuration that adds a circuit simulator – OrCAD Professional with PSpice.
OrCAD can be expanded with options, along with the growth of your needs and the level of complexity of developments. You can also upgrade to a more functional Allegro PCB Designer license, while maintaining full compatibility of your projects and the same user graphical interface.
