Allegro System Capture – schematic editor

A tool for developing electrical circuit diagrams, as well as for designing at the system level. Perfect for developing multi-board projects of electronic devices with the ability to store data in the EDM system Allegro Pulse (EDM, Engineering Data Management – engineering data management).

Cadence® Allegro® System Capture – new actively developing schematic editor. System Capture, as a system-level design tool, should fill the niche of Cadence’s old schematic editor, Design Entry HDL. Like the DE-HDL before, the System Capture editor is recommended for use by large companies, as it is easily integrated into Allegro EDM – an engineering data management system. Schematic symbol data, footprint library, accompanying documentation, and other documents are stored on a server running the Cadence® Allegro® EDM – Pulse database. In EDM, there is a division of users by roles, and restriction of access to various parts of the project and library.

The System Capture schematic editor has incorporated all the positive features of the OrCAD Capture and DE-HDL schematic editors. From OrCAD Capture, the developers tried to take a simple intuitive interface, support for TrueType fonts, techniques for creating schemes and graphic primitives. From DE-HDL to System Capture, the organization of a library of schematic symbols, the ability to control project versions, the ability to create complex hierarchical projects, and an advanced editor for creating design options have passed.

Since System Capture is easily integrated into an EDM system, it supports the delimitation of areas of responsibility for each specialist. Now you don’t have to worry about uncontrolled schema changes by your colleagues: all developer actions are stored and logged on the Pulse server.

System Capture provides the ability to set electrical constants, differential pairs and match groups for PCB routing at the stage of circuit creation.
